Service · Meta data

The technical details nobody sees.

ISRC tags, song titles, descriptions, and playlist pitches that hold up. The work that makes the difference between "appears on your profile" and "picked up by algorithms and editors".

What you get

Concrete work we tackle together.

No vague promises. Five components we deliver with clear milestones.

ISRC tagging on every release

Correct genre coding, BPM, key, mood tags. Spotify's and Apple's algorithms use this data. Get it wrong and you're invisible.

Song titles + descriptions

Optimal: capitalisation, no genre spam, the right artist links. Editors check this as their first filter.

Spotify for Artists optimisation

Bio, photo, gear, playlists, social links. Plus advice on Spotify Marquee + Discovery Mode where it fits.

Playlist pitching

Per release: pitching 4 weeks ahead through Spotify for Artists and through our contacts with Dutch and Belgian editors.

Cross-platform sync

Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal: same standardised data and consistent artist pages.

How we work

A rhythm that keeps going.

Not a one-and-done project. A way of working that adds up month after month.

STEP / 01
01

Pre-release: 4 weeks out

ISRC tags entered through your distributor. Spotify pitch form complete. Apple/Tidal pitches prepared.

STEP / 02
02

Week 0: Release

All metadata validated on appearance. Any typos fixed straight away (possible up to 24h after release).

STEP / 03
03

Week 1-4: Monitoring

Which playlists picked it up? Which editor responded? Data feeds back into the next release strategy.

STEP / 04
04

Quarterly: Catalog audit

Older releases re-tagged when metadata standards change. Forgotten metadata is forgotten revenue.

From the field

Three examples of what this delivers.

Indie pop artiest. Correct mood tags led to pickup on 14 editorial playlists in 90 days

House producer. Spotify Marquee pitch with optimised metadata: 287k extra streams per release

Hip-hop producer. Beat tagging made his production findable for sync supervisors → 3 placements in commercials

Part of the Sprout package

Basic metadata starts at Sprout (€599/mo). Forest adds international editor playlist pitching plus Spotify Marquee management when it's available for your account.

Frequently asked questions

What artists usually ask.

Do you work with my distributor?

Yes. We integrate with DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, AWAL, and Believe. With other distributors there's sometimes a wait for the first sync.

Can you reach editors personally?

For some Dutch and Belgian editors we have direct contacts. International (US, UK, DE) usually goes through the official Spotify pitch.

What if my older releases are tagged wrong?

We do a free audit of your catalog within your first month. Catalog re-tagging is included. Sometimes it comes down to a couple of days of work.

Does this help for TikTok too?

Indirectly, yes. Good metadata makes sure your sound is correctly linked to your artist profile on TikTok when someone uses a snippet. For TikTok trends themselves, Social media is a better fit.
